Help us achieve the 'Be Healthy Schools' Award'

Wednesday 13 June 2018

At Ark Boulton we pride ourselves on providing an environment for our school community where physical and emotional health is valued and supported.  We know that good health is the key to academic and social achievement.  We are always striving to improve what we do and so we have embarked upon a project called the “Be Healthy Schools’ Award” with Services for Education in order to further develop our health offer.

The school, with your help, will audit current provision and then pick areas for development from emotional health and well-being, safeguarding, healthy weight, use of the curriculum to promote positive health behaviour and whole school opportunities to encourage positive health behaviour.

So that we can create an action plan that meets the needs of everyone in our school community we are asking students, parents and staff to complete a short, online survey asking about health.  It shouldn’t take too long to complete – mostly it is ticking boxes, not writing long answers.  We would really like to hear your opinions on what we do well and where we can amend and improve our provision.

Thank you in advance for your time.
