Skiing Reward Trip

Year 9 students went on a skiing trip at Ackers last week for those who have achieved 100% attendance and excellent behaviour this term.

They were sent on a beginners dry ski slope lesson and did very well, considering most of them have never skied before! "Students laughed and fell over, but got back up again and again until all of them managed to ski down the slope. They encouraged each other to keep trying and showed resilience. Some students enjoyed it so much that they wish to go back and take full time lessons! We are very proud of them for trying something new and giving it their best." Mrs Rowe, Year 9 Student Support Leader.

Students had an excellent time and were a credit to the academy with Ackers staff commenting on what a lovely group of students we have. A huge shout out to you all, keep up the good work.
