KS3 Personal Development Curriculum
We believe that each day presents countless opportunities for children to experience our virtues. However, we have sequenced some of the taught elements of our Character Education Curriculum to enable children to become habituated with understanding virtues from Year 7 with those that help them to understand themselves, their families and their communities. This enables them to know how to be good citizens and find their place in the world.
In practice, our Character Education Curriculum enables students to practice those virtues learned in different contexts in line with the narrative for each year group.
The impact of our Character Education Curriculum is measured through:
- Student Character Journal
- Teacher Preparation Model and follow up action
- Low stakes student assessment data to include a termly assessment
- Rewards system data
- Behaviour and attendance data.
