From students to society
Not only will Ark Boulton children, be articulate and confident securing the best academic outcomes possible, we will provide opportunities to develop strength of character for which they will be recognised in society as kind, caring, respectful, and generous young adults who will be role models for generations to follow. We cannot do justice to this crucial undertaking alone. We are committed to working very closely with parents, families, the local community, faith organisations, business, commerce, and education partners to meet the needs of the whole child. Together we can ensure for each child that we:
- have the highest possible expectations
- raise their aspirations
- nurture their ambition
- build their self esteem
- develop their learning capacity
- achieve outstanding academic progress
- secure the necessary qualifications
- respect their beliefs
- ensure their safety and security
Growing together, reaching higher
Together we can give each of our children the skills, personal qualities and qualifications they need to be successful at university and in the career of their choice.
Together we can make them role models for future generations, helping to fulfil potential and raise aspirations in the wider community and supporting the family that raised them.
Together we can reach higher by ensuring that our young people can compete on level terms for places at university and in the job market. Parents, teachers and the community, by supporting each other’s high expectations, will ensure that each of our children can overcome barriers to learning, catch up where needed and achieve at the highest levels by working harder, behaving better and making faster progress than children in other schools.
We insist that all our teachers and support staff have the same high expectations for each child as they would have for their own son or daughter and that they work in close partnership with parents to ensure exemplary behaviour and a strong commitment to learning.
In order to achieve this undertaking, we are aware that Individuals can respond well or less well to the challenges they face in everyday life, and the moral virtues are those character traits that enable human beings to respond appropriately to situations in any area of experience. At Ark Boulton Academy we will strive to create opportunities, which will allow character traits to be developed and nurtured to enable our students to live, cooperate and learn with others in a way that is peaceful, neighbourly and morally justifiable.
We at Ark Boulton Academy feel privileged to lead a joint enterprise whereby the ‘village’ can help our children grow together and reach higher.
