Staff wellbeing is at the heart of what we do at the academy and we know that for staff to become the best versions of themselves we must invest in their training, which is why as part of Ark's commitment to continuning professional development we have twice the number of training days than is normal.
Ark Boulton is a transformative school environment, from the inspirational quotes on the walls to the encouraging, virtue-led language used by staff, the school is focused on the development of teachers and student alike within a family model.

Training opportunities
We recognise that to achieve great things, we need great people. That’s why we will help you to be the very best that you can be, throughout your entire career. We offer twice the standard number of training days – including our network-wide ‘Hub Days’ where peers join together to learn and share best practice. There are also opportunities for online training and bespoke learning and mentoring programmes.
If you're ambitious, we offer The National Professional Qualification for Senior Leadership (NPQSL) which identifies teachers with leadership potential, and helps them develop the skills they need to become a great head or principal.
Ark currently has 31 schools across London, Birmingham, Hastings and Portsmouth (and we are always growing!) so when the time comes for you to move on, there are plenty of opportunities across the network.

Joining our school means becoming part of a network of education experts who are all united by the same purpose - a commitment to making a difference where it matters most. You will have the opportunity to come together with your peers locally, nationally and sometimes even internationally, to share resources, learning and good practice. You'll also be supported to focus on what you do best. We are always looking for ways to take away additional pressures, to give you more freedom to concentrate on improving education outcomes for young people. We offer support beyond the classroom; from prioritising strong behaviour management strategies to giving you access to our award-winning data management platform.

From creating and working with new curricula and teaching techniques, to collaborating with other schools and partners to share what works, we’re always aiming for system change. Through Ark Ventures, we incubate, launch and scale initiatives, such as Mathematics Mastery, English Mastery, Institute for Teaching and Ambition School Leadership, that address some of the most intractable issues in education and society – in the UK and around the world.
