Our secondary school was rated 'Good' in all areas after inspectors visited on 25 and 26 June.
The report said, 'Pupils are happy in school... and 'staff and pupils are committed to embracing the values of 'respect, curiosity, and perseverance', fostering warm and respectful relationships.'
Since the last inspection, our school has undergone change and improvement, and the report noted that 'Focused leadership has brought rapid improvement in how pupils learn in many subjects.'
The report highlighted that we placed importance on the personal development of our students, ensuring they can articulate their understanding of fundamental British values and providing leadership opportunities, such as participation in the school council.
There are also opportunities for students to participate in first aid and a diverse extracurricular programme, including talk sport, a club at lunch where students watch football from the previous weekend and learn commentary skills; and world ensemble, a music club where students bring instruments from their culture and create pieces as a group.
With a purposeful atmosphere throughout our school, Ofsted said our students are encouraged to work hard and demonstrate determination to achieve their goals. This positive ethos ensures a safe and supportive environment where students can discuss concerns.
Head of School Laurence Cole said, "We are delighted to see our students thriving and demonstrating a genuine enthusiasm for learning.
"Our emphasis on personal development and a rich extracurricular programme demonstrates our commitment to providing a well-rounded education for local children.
"Ark Boulton will continue to stand out as a welcoming and nurturing school dedicated to the success and well-being of young people."
