Ark Boulton Students Celebrate Outstanding GCSE Achievement

Students from Ark Boulton Academy have achieved top marks as GCSE results are released today.

Ark secondary schools in Birmingham are celebrating today, following a strong set of GCSE results. Students gathered at the four schools – Ark Boulton Academy, Ark Kings Academy, Ark Victoria Academy and Ark St Alban’s – to receive their report cards.

At Ark Boulton Academy in Sparkhill, 46 of the school’s students achieved grades 9-5 including English and maths and 83 pupil of the school’s students achieved grades 9-5 including English and maths

Sahibzadi Mishal Khan, one of the school’s high-performing students, earned 8 grade 9’s in English Language, English literature, Maths, Double Science, Business, Urdu and History.  Mishal will be going on to study A-levels in History, Politics and Economics at King Edwards VI Camp Hill. She said: I am so please with my results and could not be prouder. My dream is to study Law at Oxford University.

Other successes included:

  • Zara Akhtar achieved four grade 9’s in Double Science, English Literature and History and 4 grade 8’s in English Language, Maths, Business and French. Zara is going on to study A-Levels in Biology, History, Chemistry and Maths at Joseph Chamberlain Sixth Form College. Zara said:
  • Maheen Mahmood achieved one grade 9 in English Literature, 6 grade 8’s in Double Science, Business, English Language, Geography and French and a grade 7 in Maths. Maheen is going on to study A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry and IT at the University of Birmingham Sixth Form.
  • Abu Bakr Saddique Khan achieved two grade 9’s in Double Science, three grade 8’s in English Language, Maths and RE and three grade 7’s in English Literature, Urdu and History. Abu Bakr will be going on to study A-Levels in Chemistry, Physics and Maths at Aston University Engineering Academy. Abu Bakr Said he is speechless and excited to start his at Aston University Engineering Academy.
  • Safah Shahid achieved three grade 9’s in Double Science and RE, two grade 8’s in History and Maths, two grade 7’s in English Language and English Literature and a grade 6 in French. Safah will be going on to study A-Levels in Maths, Biology and Geography at Joseph Chamberlain Sixth Form College.
  • Arefa Rahman achieved 5 grade 8’s in Double Science, English Language, Art and History, teo grade 7’s in History and Engliah Literature and a grade 6 in French. Arefa will be going on to study A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry and Business at The Solihull Sixth Form. Arefa said:
  • Md Rashed Alam achieved two grade 9’s in Science and Italian, three grade 8’s in Science, French and Maths, A grade 7 in History and grade 6’s in Business, English Language and English literature. Rashed will be going on to study A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry and maths at the University of Birmingham School. Rashed said he couldn’t be happier with his results as he goes onto pursue a career in Dentistry.
  • Nadia Abdulnasser Hassan achieved three grade 8’s in Double Science and Maths, 5 grade 7’s in Arabic, Business, English Literature, French and History and a grade 6 in English Language. Nadia is going on to study A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry and Maths at Joseph Chamberlain Sixth Form College.
  • Jannath Suha Islam achieved two grade 8’s in Art and Science, 5 grade 7’s in Science, English Language, English Literature, French and Maths and a Grade 6 in History. Jannath will be going on to study A-Levels in Biology, Art and Criminology at Joseph Chamberlain Sixth Form College.
  • Hamza Mohammed achieved a grade 9 in science, two grade 8’s in science and English Literature, 4 grade 7’s in English Language, Food Technology, History and Maths and a grade 4 in French. Hamza will be going on to study A-Levels in Chemistry, Law, History and Psychology at Joseph Chamberlain Sixth Form College.
  • Khadijah Riaz achieved a grade 9 in Science, two grade 8’s in Science and Geography, Three grade 7’s in English Language, Maths and Business, a grade 6 in English Literature and a grade 5 in French. Khadija will be going on to study A-Levels in English, Psychology and Politics and The Solihull Sixth Form.
